Here's how you use a wall table

While it's probably not be the first piece of furniture that comes to mind when you think about decorating your interior, a console table is actually one of the most versatile home furnishing elements. In your hallway, your living room, your veranda or even your bedroom: a wall table works in just about any room. Here are 5 tips on how you can get the most out of your console table.

1. A handy place for everyday items

Do your keys, your mail and all those other small items you use every day tend to end up just about anywhere? Use a wall table to keep everything in one convenient place in your hallway or living room. Tip: create a clean and tidy look with the help of some decorative baskets or boxes.

2. Showcase special items

Your interior is a reflection of yourself. Be sure to add enough personality, because only then will you really feel at home. How? Put your most cherished objects on display: from travel souvenirs and decorations to picture frames, or even your favourite musical instrument. A console table like Viresa, a whopping 250 cm wide, offers you lots of space with 4 drawers and 2 shelf levels.

3. Compact storage

From narrow hallways to already full living rooms, wall tables are ideal when you don't have a lot of room to work with. They barely take up any space, like the slim Cosa console in wrought iron or the thibaut, and yet they can give you lots of storage space, like the Farra wall table in weathered oak with 3 shelf levels. Tip: get a more spacious feel by placing a large mirror on your console table.

4. A sophisticated alternative to a minibar

A special bottle of wine, a hand-blown champagne cooler or hand-cut whiskey glasses deserve better than to be locked away in a cupboard. Use your wall table as a minibar for a sophisticated accent in your living room. Cheers!

A special accent piece

It's true: our wall tables are real eye-catchers in their own right. Take Saito, for example: so full of character, because it's made from reclaimed wood from old barns. And then there's the timeless Naxos with its very special mix of wood and mirrored glass. But they also appeal to your inner stylist. Let your creativity run free and decorate your console with a bold work of art, a large vase or an atmospheric table lamp. Tip: be sure to give every item enough breathing space. Don't use too many different colours, and combine objects with different heights.
